I woke up today receiving the great news that I had been selected by the Chevron Houston Marathon to be an Ambassador for the Aramco Houston Half Marathon for 2016. I'm thrilled to be a part of this great event that my dear city organizes every year. Also, I feel very happy to be able to keep on sharing with all of you my stories, feelings, ups and downs that you experience while training for a race.

I hope I can motivate lots of people to get close to this great sport that's filled with personal goals and satisfaction. I'm not a professional runner, not even close; I'm a mom that became an addict of that incredible well-being feeling you get when you finish running.

Today we are only 50 days away until Open Registration begins for the 2016 race. It will be a weekend full of events, so don't miss out and mark it in your calendars.
